Experience

Senior Product Manager – Life Sciences & Healthcare
Clarivate – Remote
July 2024 – Present

Product lead for AI capabilities across Clarivate life sciences products, with work spanning launched generative-AI products, search and information discovery, AI evaluation, go-to-market, and discovery of new AI-enabled product opportunities for scientific and pharmaceutical users.

  • Drug Discovery Assistant: Led the product from early concept and co-development with pharmaceutical users through launch and ongoing iteration, working with Engineering, Data Science, UX, and domain experts to turn customer feedback and evaluation results into product decisions, challenge early assumptions, and focus development on the problems that mattered most to users.

  • AI evaluation: Developed a rigorous evaluation framework using ground-truth question sets, regression testing, comparative evaluation, and repeated-run analysis, applying research and statistical methods to measure product quality, identify failure modes, and make better product and release decisions.

  • Trustworthy AI for scientific users: Made provenance, source visibility, clear scope, and user verification core requirements for AI features used in scientific research workflows, working with domain experts to ensure that new capabilities supported expert judgment rather than asking users to trust model output at face value.

  • Search quality: Led AI-assisted search improvements for competitive-intelligence workflows that reduced problematic searches by approximately 25%.

  • Technical initiative: Independently built a Model Context Protocol (MCP) prototype to test how an LLM could use Clarivate search capabilities through structured tools, then used the working prototype to inform broader product and technical discussions about natural-language information discovery.

  • AI product strategy and discovery: Lead longer-term strategy for how Clarivate's trusted scientific content and analytical products should evolve as customers increasingly use generative AI and AI agents. Lead discovery of new product opportunities with UX research, domain experts, technical teams, and customers, using early research and prototyping to determine which ideas warrant further investment.

  • Go-to-market and sales enablement: Work with sales, marketing, product marketing, and other customer-facing teams on launches, demonstrations, customer conversations, and sales enablement, helping position new AI capabilities around real customer needs while communicating their capabilities and limitations accurately.
